Third, when in the "GameCube Controller Configuration" menu, make sure that the red dot on the C-Stick Map moves when you press the C-Stick. Secondly, in Melee, the C-Stick should not zoom the camera when paused perhaps you mean how it tilts the screen in the character selection menu? (If the C-Stick zooms when paused, perhaps you tied the C-Stick inputs to X and Y, which zoom when paused in multiplayer). (With the MayFlash adapter, the input device is listed as "DInput/0/MAYFLASH Gamecube Controller", with 0-3 being the four ports I'm not sure what the official adapters show up as, but I doubt it's "DInput/0/Keyboard Mouse).
